Ramiro I de Asturias (791? - Liño, 850). Rey de Asturias de 842 a 850. Hijo de Bermudo I de Asturias, sucedió a Alfonso II tras una revuelta interna en la cual derrotó al usurpador Conde Nepociano en la batalla del puente de Cornellana, cerca del río Narcea, en Asturias. Con su elección como rey se abandona definitivamente la sucesión electiva característica de los reyes godos por la sucesión hereditaria.
